Participant Information

1) Mark your calendar for London Health Research Day on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

2) Carefully review the LHRD Rules & Regulations.

3) Write your abstract submission according to the guidelines.

All abstracts submissions must not exceed 3,500 characters, including spaces. Your name, title, supervisor, role and authors will not be included in the total abstract count.

Your abstract must include the following 5 headings. These sections must be included in order to quality for submission.
- Introduction
- Hypothesis
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion and Conclusions

In addition to the abstract the submission must also include a clear statement of role that the submitting author had in the generation of the data that will be presented.

4) The submission deadline was Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Submissions are not accepted after the deadline.

You will be required to select from the available research categories and competition of interest – poster, platform or both. RSVP to the lunch with keynote presentation and the networking and awards reception is required as part of the submission process.

5) A pre-judging committee will review and score the submitted abstracts.

6) Prepare a poster presentation according to the guidelines. Students should be prepared to give a two-minute pitch to provide an overview of their research. Posters will be presented at the LHRD 2017 event on March 28, 2017. More details will be provided to those who have been selected for participation.

7) The highest scoring abstracts will be selected to present a feature platform presentation. On the day of the event, presenters will be randomly divided into four presentation areas, and will compete against the other presenters in the room. Review the guidelines.

8) Review the criteria for The Lucille & Norton Wolf London Health Research Day Trainee Publication Awards. If you qualify, send your submission to gradstudies@schulich.uwo.ca by March 10, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
